Our Story

Greymade was born from a simple but powerful desire: to create lingerie that fits and flatters every body. Founder Kelly Grey spent decades searching for bras that offered the perfect balance of support, comfort, and style. Like many women, Kelly struggled to find bras that truly fit—ones that catered to her individual needs, body shape, and style preferences. This frustration, from her teenage years through adulthood, sparked a journey that would ultimately reshape her career as a designer.

Kelly’s curiosity and passion led her to dive deep into the art of bra-making. She completed courses at prestigious institutions like The Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York City and Central Saint Martins in London, mastering the skills necessary to craft bras that transcend the ordinary. After years of research, hands-on learning, and extensive testing, Kelly realized the secret to a perfect fit: starting with the client, not the garment.

At Greymade, we believe that every body is unique, and so should be the lingerie we wear. That’s why we create bespoke bras and lingerie pieces, each handcrafted to the precise measurements and needs of the individual client. Our process is as unique as the women we serve, offering personalized consultations and custom designs that ensure every piece is a perfect fit—because no one should have to compromise between comfort, support, and beauty.

Sustainability Commitment

Sustainable and conscious fashion design is of the utmost importance to Greymade. As our company grows, we are committed to enhancing our sustainability mission to benefit both our clients and the planet.

Here are a few promises we will uphold:

01

Quality Over Quantity

We produce garments that are made to last and can be repaired by our in-house team to ensure the longest possible use for our customers.

03

Local and Fair Production

All Greymade garments and samples are made locally by skilled sewers in the NY/NJ area, who are paid above the market rate for their work with our company.

02

Sustainable Materials

Wherever possible, we use deadstock, regenerated, and

small quantity textiles to minimize textile waste in our production process.

04

Garment Recycling Program

We have established a garment recycling program. All Greymade garments can be returned to us at the end of their lifecycle for proper recycling. Clients who participate will receive a discount on future orders as an incentive to recycle their old Greymade garments with us.
